I am Zali Segal.

 

This website is the culmination of my own journey of learning, discovering, experimenting and trial and error. 

 

In 1998 I created my first website www.breakthroughinstitute.com . It was a crude one pager that was not much more than a typed text brochure, but it was ON THE NET! I was so proud and so hopeful it was ridiculous. 

Alas, imagine my disappointment when nothing happened for many months.

 

I was not born an “Internet Marketer”. (Dahaa the Internet did not exist yet when I was born…;-). But I soon realized that if I am to sell my book successfully, I need to become one.

 

I was determined. I dove into learning and improving my site bit by bit. I invested a tidy sum of money and good chunk of my time in learning. I was learning through seminars, books, videos and other marketers (Of course the internet is ever evolving and I am continuously learning and adding new things).

 

Within a few short months, to my surprise and great delight, my sites placement in the search engines shot to FIRST spot! (See screen shots proof below).

 

Did that boost my sales? You bet’ya. In the next few months my book sales, seminar enrolment and client bookings climbed steadily. It’s a simple concept. The more exposure the more income… And how sweet is it if you can get all that exposure for FREE?

 

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is of course only one component in the campaign to gain exposure and drive traffic to your site. There are dozens of strategies and tactics to employ and they are all covered on the site www.marketingoverthenet.com.
